Chet's song
This is a song that Chet wrote and sang when a close friend of his died suddenly. He performed it here when his Aunt Pat passed away.

Jesse's First Birthday
Jesse turned one year old today. I can't hardly believe that it has been a whole year. His party was at his Grandpa and Grandma Pitman's home. We had a yummy dinner and then Jesse's frog cake that his mom made for him. It was really cute. She spent many hours making and decorating it. Jesse has never had sweets or ice cream before today. It didn't take him long to figure out that it was pretty tasty. After a bath to find him underneath all that frosting, he got to open his gifts. (Actually, Mom got to do most of the opening because he wasn't really interested in opening them. Just playing with them after.) He got lots of fun toys and videos and books and lots of cute new clothes.

Kylee's Birthday
We had a picnic at Hathaway Park for Kylee's 7th Birthday. The weather turned out nice after a kind of chilly morning. The little ones were having a good time playing around. Paul took his wagon he bought for the grandkids. As you can see, Jesse was having a very good time pushing it around. We were not pulling, just guiding while he pushed. He pushed it clear across the park and back. Kylee really enjoyed her gifts and was especially excited with some texters that Matt and Suzanne gave her. I think Krysta was just as excited as Kylee because there were two and they could text each other.

Fun times in Idaho
We had such a good time last week in Idaho. Thanks Julie, Wes and Cory for letting us all crash with you again. It was fun having Seth, Tonya and Jesse and Ian there with us. Friday we went to West Yellowstone to the Playmill Theater and saw "Hello Dolly". It was really good. Jesse loved the music and dancing. He was really getting into it bouncing up and down on my lap to the music.
The reunion on Saturday was fun too. It was nice to get to visit with everyone. Happy 60th anniversary Mom and Dad! We love you.
Paul really enjoyed the day up fourwheeling with Larry in Wolverine. He said it was so beautiful up there and they had so much fun.

Made in the USA
We had a nice 4th of July. We had a ward breakfast at Fallen Leaf Park in the morning then went to the rodeo. The rodeo queen was a pretty girl who has cystic fibrosis. Her horse was given to her by the Make a Wish Foundation. Part of the ticket price that day was donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We then had a BBQ on Saturday. It was a fun, busy weekend.
